Village Groups

There are a number of active groups in the village; you can find out more about them below. If you spot anything missing – let us know!

Lower Withington Women's Institute

The Women’s Institute plays a unique role in providing women with educational opportunities and the chance to build new skills, to take part in a wide variety of activities and to campaign on issues that matter to them and their communities.

The group meets on the fourth Wednesday of each month at 7.30pm at the Parish Hall, Lower Withington.

Mums and Tots Group

This local group meets regularly to have fun! Each session involves time to play with toys, enjoy a craft activity and have a biscuit and a drink – juice for the tots and tea or coffee for the mums! The there is a story and a chance to make some noise with the musical instruments! Why not join us?

The group meets every Tuesday morning during term time from 10am until 11.30am at the Methodist Chapel in Lower Withington (opposite the Village Green).

Lower Withington Parish Hall Tennis Court

Lower Withington Parish Hall have a tennis court facility at the back of the Parish Hall, which is for the use of members only. For the 2015 season we had 21 members and in order for us to continue with this fantastic facility in our village, we would like to encourage as many people as possible to utilise the courts and become members for 2017. If we can show an increase in the use of this facility over the coming years, this will help our decision to look to fund a new court surface as and when it becomes essential to continue with a good playing surface.

Annual subscriptions are £30.00 for Adults, £10.00 for Juniors (under 16) or £70.00 for a Family membership
